During the moodboard presentation, we shifted our attention from a virtual database to a Virtual Reality (VR) platform on which digital clothing is sold.

ABOUT MY PROCESS

When I thought about a Virtual Reality platform, I imagined people connecting in virtual experiences without losing touch of the physical world. I hardly imagined that people would completely lose the capacity to move, eat, drink, feel, and experience the real world. It is basic instinct to do such things. For this reason, I think our prototype was not strong enough as there was no link between the physical world and our VR Utopia.

This was the first vision I sent in the whatsapp group.

Off white sells digital clothing on a virtual reality platform. Everyone has an account and can meet with other accounts/friends while experiencing different situations (dinner, gym, business meeting) and worlds (underwater, outer space). Off white clothing is suited for any occasion or world, as It is a combo of future-street-wear and luxury. The purchase is based on an archive of designs that is projected on your virtual desired body. All designs are versatile in color and size and adjust automatically to any body shape or color preference.

The main questions were: WHAT pushed people to live in Virtual Reality? How many people would actually abandon the physical world to live digitally?

MY PROCESS IN THE GROUP

The answer to the previous questions was within our group: 3 people would abandon the physical world to permanently live in Virtual Reality capsules; 3 people believed that there had to be a connection between the physical world and VR. So again, WHAT pushed people to experience VR and buy digital clothing?

The answer was experiences. Therefore we had to sell virtual experiences in order to create the need for digital clothing. The natural evolution was events. Annual events (like the MET gala or the Oscars) that inevitably occur in the real world could be hosted in a VR platform. This would create the need for attendees to buy clothing.
